Dyslipidemia
Dyslipidemia is an abnormal amount of lipids (e.g., triglycerides, cholesterol and/or fat phospholipids) in the blood. In developed countries, most dyslipidemias are hyperlipidemias; that is, an elevation of lipids in the blood. This is often due to diet and lifestyle.
Nagy Research Clinical is proud to have the chance to work on more than 50 projects related to dyslipidemia. One of this project is the “Centralized Pan-Middle East Survey on the Under-Treatment of Hypercholesterolemia: Results from the CEPHEUS II Study in Egypt.” In this study, it was concluded that Hypercholesterolemia is still not efficiently being managed in many at-risk patients in Egypt.
The majority of patients enrolled in the study were actively treated with lipid-lowering medications, yet the percentage goal achievement was less when compared to CEPHEUS results.
